Sunol Valley Ladies Club celebrates 2011 season

Last week, the Sunol Valley Ladies Club gathered in the Mission Room to celebrate great golf, friendship and the holidays.  These women play every Thursday morning on Cypress and hold a big Guest day each Spring. To celebrate their special presence at Sunol, SVGC Head Pro Rich Bland read the following poem to them:

Holiday Golf With the Ladies

We’re thankful for the ladies all year through
For the bags of clubs and irons they do pursue
We know they are thankful for their golf friends, old and new

They see the beauty all year around
Being thankful for the chip-ins as par is certainly found

Their strokes are always a thing to behold,
Even when the days get cold
We await a brand new year
Looking forward to our new golf swings to appear

Our smiles get bright and our faces get flush,
Knowing that our lives are plush
